The DPI Horticulture Services Branch recently showcased a snapshot of the key industry services in R&D, extension, biosecurity, marketing, biosciences, productivity, skills and industry capability and sustainable and natural resource management. All of the presentations from the day have been uploaded onto the website.
ATGA have worked collaboratively with VIC DPI to produce pest identification cards for employees in the table grape industry to use in the field. The cards were designed to assist growers train staff picking fruit specifically for the China market. The cards could also be used as part of the induction training process for any employee.
Growers may upload the id cards on the HIN website.

The Australian Table Grape Industry has been actively seeking to gain legal market access to the Chinese market for close to a decade. In October 2010, Australian and Chinese officials signed an agreement that will allow Australian table grapes to be exported to China provided an established set of protocols are adhered to.

The Vine is a quarterly publication for the Australian table grape and dried fruits industries.
It is a joint publication between the Australian Table Grape Association (ATGA) and Australian Dried Fruits Association (ADFA). The magazine is sent free to all table grape, dried grape, dried tree fruit and dried prune levy payers. If you know a grower not receiving a copy please encourage them to contact the Association to provide their postal details.
Each edition contains reports from the ATGA Chairman and Chief Executive plus news, a grower profile updates on research and development and marketing projects, water outlook and production tips.
