REINSTATEMENT OF FRUIT FLY AREA FREEDOM STATUS FOR MILDURA QUEENSLAND FRUIT FLY OUTBREAK

Effective as of 27th April 2010 restrictions on the movements of host fruits grown, packed or sorted within the Queensland Fruit Fly (QFF) suspension area after this date haveĀ  been lifted and product treatments are no longer required under Victorian legislation.

Successful management of the outbreak has enabled the reinstatement of the restricted area to area freedom status for QFF for all mainland sensitive markets.

Restrictions on the movement of QFFR host fruits, grown, packed or stored within the QFF suspension area to the Tasmanian market still apply.

More information about the eradication program is available from DPI on 03 50514500 or www.dpi.vic.gov.au/psb
