trade agreement allows Australian table grapes to be exported to China

2011

Chinese officials will visit Australia this season to inspect our local industry; if satisfied with their verification visit the first shipments of Australian grapes are likley to be sent early in 2011. Growers must be registered with the Australian Table Grape Association (ATGA) prior to exporting to China. Further information about the Protocol and Export Access to China can be obtained from the ATGA CEO Mr Jeff Scott  on 0350 215718.

The ATGA is currently in the process of developing a new strategic plan for 2011-2016. Once drafted the plan will be circulated to grower associations nationally seeking industry  input before finalisation and publishing.

REINSTATEMENT OF FRUIT FLY AREA FREEDOM STATUS FOR MILDURA QUEENSLAND FRUIT FLY OUTBREAK

Effective as of 27th April 2010 restrictions on the movements of host fruits grown, packed or sorted within the Queensland Fruit Fly (QFF) suspension area after this date have  been lifted and product treatments are no longer required under Victorian legislation.

Notification of a Queensland Fruit Fly outbreak at Mildura

The following documents contain the emergency procedures for those growers  who are within the 15 km suspension zone to which they must comply with in order to move their fruit into Melbourne, Sydney & Brisbane.
